PAOLO CORVO
Associate professor at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, where he teaches Travel cultures and Social change and New trends of food and gastronomy. He deals with issues related to food and consumption, sustainable food and wine tourism, indicators of quality of life, well-being and happiness. He has carried out research and training activities for public and private corporations on arguments related to tourism and the socio-economic development of the territory, the processes of globalization and civil society.

ANA MORAGUES
I am a Senior Research Fellow (Ramón y Cajal) at the University of Barcelona and a visiting fellow at the Sustainable Places Institute at Cardiff University.
My research interests revolve mainly around sustainable agri-food systems and food security, having developed most of my work in European countries and Latin America. I started my research career tackling aspects of sustainable rural development, looking at farmers’ strategies, collective action and the dynamics of alternative food networks. These food networks allowed me to analyse urban and rural linkages, leading me to integrate urban food into my research portfolio. I am also interested in governance and justice, having conducted studies with social movements and more recently analyzing the emergence and evolution of urban food strategies. Engagement is also central to my research work, being involved in participatory-action research with civil society organisations and public institutions in Europe and Latin America, such as the Sustainable Food Cities network in the UK.
I actively participate in a range of local, national and international partnerships with the aim to understand better our food system in order to change it!
PATRICK PASGANG
Senior Innovation Consultant Business Development. Short food chain supply & business development specialist. Patrick Pasgang holds an Economic Degree and MBA in Marketing and International Business. He is a Belgian expert involved in developing, creating and supporting business opportunities for Belgian farmers into concrete projects. He has 22 years of experience within the food retail business where he held different management functions. He represents his organisation in different Strategic Platforms (e.g. Strategic Platform of Short Chain Sales of the Flemish Government) discussing on Short Food Supply Chain & Multi-Functional Agriculture. Due to his personal interest and the possibility of using his business experience, he is responsible for the advice and guidance on innovative, alternative and short supply chains and the development of new business opportunities to farmers.
Within the Interreg. IV program Fish&Chips he developed ‘Pick, Drive & deliver’, which is an innovative format of a short food supply chain helping local producers to distribute and market their products in their region. He is involved in many steering committees of local food supply distribution networks.
He organizes and facilitates external advisory committees helping farmers with independent business advices. He helps start-ups with the development of new business-concepts.
He is seen as the Flemish specialist in Short Food Supply, having direct contact with farmers/producers, local stakeholders and related service providers. Helping regional non profit organisations & cooperations in establishing Local Food Hubs.
Patrick has been expert in the EIP Agri Focus Group on Short Food Supply Chain Management and the ENRD network on accelerator programs dedicated to farmers.
