My name is Antoon and I grew up on the small florestry of my grandparents and uncle, just outside of Brussels. It was there that my passion for farming sprouted. My big dream was to continue the family florestry one day. As this was rather difficult, I became an agricultural journalist, combining my love for writing and photography with my passion for agriculture. As the dream of becoming a farmer myself kept lingering, I started to look for a small piece of land I could farm. Since the start of 2021 I can call myself a small scale farmer, as I started a market garden, called “Den Bosbeekhof”.
