I’m a sustainable development expert in WWF’s priority conservation area of the Transylvanian Highlands – Romania. One of my key roles is to support and influence internal public policies and practices in farming and food in Romania to ensure the conservation of typical rural landscapes and the associated biodiversity, ensuring a vibrant countryside where local communities benefit from easy access to vital information, financing opportunities and infrastructures for storage and processing, as well as market access for their produce. I’m also a public procurement specialist, promoting green procurement legislation to favour local produce from extensive farms, smallholders and agro-ecological food systems in public food programmes (e.g. school food programmes) and the supply of public institutions. I have over 8 years of experience in projects relating to environmental protection, socio-cultural and community development activities (e.g. green business and market-based mechanisms).
