Nerea Viana | SPAIN

My name is Nerea Viana Zugadi, I am 30 years old, and I was born in Bilbao, Basque Country, although I have been living in Navarra for some years. I graduated in Agronomy Engineering at the Public University of Navarra, and later I did a master’s degree in teaching. I have also studied Food Sovereignty, Rural Development and Agroecology. I have worked in viticulture, crop protection, and I am currently working in a rural development agency in the Sakana region, in the north of Navarre. I have always been committed to local, sustainable and fair food, giving names and surnames to the products and food I choose. I firmly believe that food and our consumption habits are a political act that we can put into practice every day, and that they have the power to transform society.
